Reliability & Energy Services for Power Plants & Industrial Facilities
Four service lines, built around one principle: find the waste, quantify it in dollars, and give you a clear path to fix it. Every engagement is delivered by an operator with hands-on plant experience, using purpose-built diagnostic instruments, and grounded in what your team can actually implement.
Steam and utility optimization is where we lead. Energy audits, predictive maintenance, and borescoping round out the toolkit.
Steam & Utility System Optimization
A typical mid-sized industrial facility has 100 to 300 steam traps. Industry data consistently shows that 15 to 30 percent of those traps are in some state of failure between audits. A single failed trap on a moderate-pressure system can leak the equivalent of $3,000 to $8,000 per year in fuel cost. The math compounds quickly and most of it is invisible until someone goes looking for it.
What We Do
Comprehensive surveys of your steam traps, condensate return, insulation, pressure-reducing stations, and distribution headers, using ultrasonic and thermal instrumentation to identify failed components and inefficiencies. Compressed air leak detection and tagging is included. Every finding is documented, photographed, quantified in annual fuel cost, and prioritized by payback period.
Why It Matters
A single failed steam trap can waste hundreds of dollars per month and most facilities have dozens. Compressed air leaks, pressure drops, and system imbalances create similar hidden costs. Beyond the financial impact, optimized systems improve reliability and reduce wear on equipment.
Our Approach
A typical engagement is a one- to three-day site visit, depending on facility size. You receive a written report with every finding documented in dollars and ranked by payback. The report is built for action your maintenance team should be able to open it and start working without translation. Most engagements pay for themselves in 60 to 90 days.
Energy Efficiency Audits
Your facility's energy bill is driven by a handful of large loads such as motors, compressors, process heat, and demand charges, not by the building envelope a typical commercial energy audit focuses on. We find the loads that are costing you and quantify what's recoverable.
What We Do
Three-phase power logging on your critical circuits, demand profile analysis, motor and compressor efficiency evaluation, and identification of process-side energy savings opportunities. We also review your utility rate structure for optimization opportunities. Every recommendation is ranked by ROI with calculated payback periods.
Why It Matters
Most industrial facilities are paying more for energy than they need to and sometimes significantly more than they know about. Peak demand charges, oversized equipment, and process inefficiencies compound month after month. The savings from a well-executed energy audit often cover the cost of the audit several times over in the first year alone.
Our Approach
We combine hands-on assessment with analysis to give you a clear picture of your energy landscape. Findings are prioritized by savings potential and by what your team can realistically implement because a recommendation that doesn't survive an actual O&M budget isn't worth writing down.
Vibration Analysis & Predictive Maintenance
Bearings don't fail without warning. Misalignment doesn't appear overnight. The signatures of mechanical failure show up in vibration and ultrasonic data weeks or months before the asset goes down, if someone is looking for them.
What We Do
Route-based vibration and ultrasonic screening on motors, pumps, fans, and gearboxes. Bearing condition monitoring, lubrication assessment, and severity-scaled findings with actionable recommendations. As we build a baseline on your critical assets, trend reports show how equipment health is changing over time, and where to act before failure.
Why It Matters
Unplanned downtime is the most expensive failure mode in any facility. Catching a bearing fault three months before it seizes turns a catastrophic failure into a scheduled repair, and saves the collateral damage to shafts, housings, and connected equipment that comes with running an asset to destruction.
Our Approach
Our vibration analysis pathway is actively progressing through Mobius Institute certification (ISO 18436-2 aligned). Current engagements focus on screening and early-warning detection. If your facility needs deep diagnostic spectral analysis on a critical asset today, we'll tell you that and help you find the right resource. If you need a credible, ongoing condition monitoring program backed by an operator who understands your equipment, we're a strong fit.
Borescoping
Borescoping is the most efficient way to assess the internal condition of boilers, heat exchangers, turbines, and process equipment without disassembly. Used before a planned outage, it tells you what to expect and what to have ready. Used after a suspected event, it confirms or rules out internal damage. Used as part of a broader condition assessment, it adds visual evidence to instrument-based findings.
What We Do
A typical engagement is a half-day to full-day site visit, depending on the number and accessibility of assets. You receive a written report with annotated images and a clear assessment of what was observed.
